Nutrition Care

Nutrition Care

We believe that nutrition is the foundation of health and wellness.  As a department under the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine, we work collaboratively with your physician to address a variety of clinical nutrition needs.

Our providers are Registered Dietitian Nutritionists and are well-qualified, licensed providers who individualize your care with unique expertise, nutrition counseling, and specialized medical nutrition therapy.  We help a variety of patients from adults to young children, and services are covered by most insurances.
A physician’s prescription is required for nutrition clinical practice.

Here are general reasons for a comprehensive nutritional consult:

  • Enhanced sports performance
  • General wellness and healthy dietary changes
  • Diabetes prevention and treatment
  • Food allergies or intolerance
  • Therapeutic diets
  • Achieving healthy weight
  • Elevated cholesterol and blood lipids
  • Specialized kidney conditions
  • Pediatric nutrition and breastfeeding
  • Family nutrition plans

Our nutritionists provide care in a variety of locations across NSU’s Davie/Fort Lauderdale campus Monday - Friday. Days and times vary by location.

Call our scheduling center at (954) 262-2399 to make an appointment.
