NSU Health gives you plenty of reasons to smile. We offer a full spectrum of affordable dental, surgical, and orthodontic services. You can achieve optimized oral health and confidence at one of the elite dental schools — with the best teaching clinics and faculty practices — in the Southeast.

In our pre- and post-doctoral clinics, student dentists-in-training and resident dentists-in-advanced-training work under the supervision of experienced faculty dentists. Our faculty practice clinic is just like a typical dentist office. That means advanced dental techniques, friendly faces, state-of-the-art equipment, and cutting-edge treatment modalities are all in one place.

Dental Care Clinic Specialties

NSU Health dentists are skilled in all areas of dentistry, providing specialty services and a range of comprehensive general and preventive care, diagnostic care, and restorative and cosmetic treatments. NSU Health offers the following specialties — each reasonably priced and covered by most insurance providers. CareCredit is also available to patients with no interest for up to 24 months.

Our dental hygienists provide preventive care, including dental cleanings and diagnostics, and education on preventive techniques to help maintain excellent oral health.

Tooth Pain? Tooth abscess? Traumatized teeth? Do you think you have a tooth infection? The endodontists at NSU's College of Dental Medicine are prepared to provide safe and painless procedures that eliminate pain, infection, and swelling. Our goal is to save your tooth, whenever possible, using leading-edge technology and procedures that are based on science and successful outcomes.

Orofacial Pain is the specialty of dentistry that encompasses the diagnosis, management and treatment of pain disorders of the jaw, mouth, face, head and neck. The specialty of Orofacial Pain is dedicated to the evidenced-based understanding of the underlying pathophysiology, etiology, prevention, and treatment of these disorders and improving access to interdisciplinary patient care.

Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a specialty of dentistry and medicine dedicated to the treatment of diseases and conditions of the teeth (extractions, implants, third molar management, and infections) and jaws (facial trauma, head and neck tumors, congenital disabilities, and deformities). For your convenience, our surgeons are located at two oral and maxillofacial surgical clinic sites offering consultations, management, and removal of wisdom teeth, orthognathic jaw surgery, facial trauma repair, dental implants, cancers and lesions of the face jaw and neck, and surgical correction of congenital and development anomalies of the face. We offer a complete spectrum of anesthesia services and our surgeons are on active staff of the major hospital systems in the area.

Oral Medicine is the specialty of dentistry responsible for the oral health care of medically complex patients and for the diagnosis and management of medically related diseases, disorders and conditions affecting the oral and maxillofacial region.

Think you need braces? NSU's orthodontists can provide accurate assessment of your condition and recommend targeted appliances to help align teeth, correct function, and enhance appearance. Our services include a full range of comprehensive orthodontic care and appliances for patients of all ages.

Pediatric Dentistry is an age-defined specialty that provides both primary and comprehensive preventive and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health care needs.

NSU's periodontists offer complete care for gum diseases, as well as dental implants to replace missing teeth. Our specialists help improve your oral health through prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gum disease. If left untreated, gum diseases can put your overall health at risk for serious cardiovascular events, including heart attacks. Periodontists also perform gum grafting procedures on receding gums and surgically place dental implants to help restore your teeth and your smile.

Have your smile evaluated and recreated with our NSU-CDM prosthodontic specialists (all of whom receive three years of training beyond general dentists). We reconstruct and replace missing teeth and oral/facial structures. With our state-of-the-art CAD/CAM digital scanners, we can provide single crowns from start to finish in a single visit. We can plan for any indirect restorative prosthetic dental treatment using the strongest and most aesthetic materials, such as simple crowns and complex bridges, simple or complex implant restorations, single or multiple veneers, and simple or complex removable, partial, and complete dental prostheses. Whether you need a single ceramic veneer, zirconia crowns, or an All-on-Four full arch restoration, we'll work with you to create the smile you have always wanted!

You had our back. Now we have yours. NSU Health's Veterans Care is proud to offer affordable dental health care to veterans and their families in our South Florida facilities. Our dental health professionals are trained to provide compassionate care you can count on.
