NSU Supports Student Health and Wellness
In addition to medical care, NSU supports student well-being by offering confidential counseling services. To make an appointment at the Center for Student Counseling and Well-Being, call (954) 424-6911.
Student Healthcare Information
If you have a medical emergency, please call 911. A free-standing emergency room is available 24 hours a day/7 days a week within walking distance of our NSU Ft. Lauderdale/Davie campus.
Immunization forms are to be turned in to your college directly. Please contact the Student Affairs Office of the college you are enrolling for more information. Please fill out the HP Immunization and Physical Exam Form.
Copayments and deductibles will be collected at the time of services rendered.
Some insurance policies require a primary care provider (PCP) designation. In such cases, please be sure to designate an NSU physician as your PCP prior to visiting the Student Medical Center.

NSU Health has implemented a late arrival policy to make your visit more comfortable and minimize your wait time. Please arrive a minimum of ten minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to complete the check-in process. We respect the importance of our students’ busy lifestyles; those who arrive late will be asked to reschedule their appointment so we don’t disrupt the flow of the rest of our appointments.
You should seek medical attention immediately following an exposure incident.
An exposure that might place NSU Health Providers at risk for Hepatitis B Virus, Hepatitis C Virus, or HIV infection is defined as a percutaneous injury (e.g., a needlestick or cut with a sharp object) or contact of mucous membrane or non-intact skin (e.g., exposed skin that is chapped, abraded or afflicted with dermatitis) with blood, tissue or other bodily fluids that are potentially infectious.¹
If you have concerns regarding an exposure that occurs while on campus please contact NSU’s Infection Control Coordinator, at (954) 262-7306 or (954) 262-7352. If you are unable to reach the on-campus infection control office, please proceed to your local emergency room.
