As we age, we’re faced with new health challenges. And while we are living longer than ever, our extended lifespans inevitably require more care. NSU Health Geriatric Medicine focuses on providing medical care for older adults—including the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of commonly experienced diseases and conditions. Your mental health and wellness—or that of a senior parent or aging loved one—is important and requires specialized attention from a compassionate and knowledgeable health care team.

Good doctor-patient communication supports good health. At NSU Health, you’ll feel encouraged to ask the difficult questions and comfortable sharing your concerns with your health care team. We understand that an aging body may come with some additional challenges, but we’re here to help you feel better. Your doctors provide comprehensive and compassionate care tailored to the needs of adults 65 years of age or older. You can feel good about choosing us because at NSU Health, we support the journey to wellness at any age.

Going to the doctor for regular health screenings is essential for healthy aging. A 2021 study found that getting regular check-ups helps doctors catch chronic diseases early and can help patients reduce risk factors for disease, such as high blood pressure and cholesterol levels. People who went to the doctor regularly also reported improved quality of life and feelings of wellness.
